Hiiii. I am Verena, a professional footballer from Austria.

I would like to start this first part with a short introduction to tell you more about me and 'one house - two personalities' and how my journey has shaped the ethos of our brand.

Football is my greatest passion, I started playing football as a little girl and quickly made the step up to becoming a professional. I currently play for Eintracht Frankfurt and the Austrian national team, for whom I have taken part in national championships, cup finals and the Champions League.

For a long time I was defined by sport, but when I was forced to take a short break due to a personal health issue, I was confronted with the following questions: Who am I outside of sport and who do I want to be? 

I needed help.

This challenge combined with the Covid pandemic has given me the opportunity to start my inner journey towards self-discovery and personal development. This was supported not only by my training as a sports mental trainer and life coach, but also by my newly discovered passion for yoga and meditation.

My goal now is to help others discover their inner strength and resilience and develop their full potential.

In my life, values such as authenticity, mindfulness and honesty are particularly important to me. I believe that a balanced lifestyle that unites body, mind and soul is the key to a fulfilling life.

This is my side of the brands’ personality that I want to infuse into the products and the overall ambiance of the studio and social channels, creating an environment that reflects my values and resonates with customers on a personal level. 
Whether it’s through the design, selection of products, or the customer experience, I want my personal perspective to shine through and leave a lasting impression and combined with Joe's individuality it will complete the overall brand’s identity.

To continue the introduction to Verena and myself, I would like to say, Hi.

I’m Joe, the other half of the brand, and I am a Creative Director with a deep love of all things art and music.

For me, it does not matter when you find music - digging for the latest underground track or an undiscovered golden oldie - you find music when you are meant to music, and you could say music finds you, not the other way around!

Being a Londoner, I have been blessed with an abundance of music, so many bands, DJ's, and acts have graced the capital, and from a super young age, I submerged myself in some of the most historic venues, festivals, the dirtiest little basements, and warehouse raves.

From Rock to pop, funk and disco, classical and metal, I love it all. There is no genre for me, it's just a good tune or album, but if I had to pick and label a genre for conversion, I would have to choose hardcore metal, as it is in “My Blood.”

As a “down river kid,” I resonate with the roots, passion and the message of the music. The emotion and community that surrounded the hardcore metal scene back in the 90s and early 2000s were just unreal.

For music that comes across on the surface as so aggressive and with the visual impact of the “scary” mosh pits, it provided a community and a safe space to express yourself, be it in your art or the way you're dressed. If you fell in the pit, you would have a dozen hands reached to pull you out, kinda what life should be like really!

From the arrangement, rhythmic and melodic undertones, heavy and dergy sounds grab you and let you lose yourself as it uplifts you and can shape your state of mind.

It's so sad we have lost so many great venues that have hosted such amazing artists and concerts, but the memory lives on, and when you hear that song you have seen live in the likes of Astoria 2, the memories come flooding back, and that feeling and emotion is right there with you again.

With this, I would like to honour these fallen venues that have given me and so many others joy and unforgettable moments in time, with a dedicated design in a few of our upcoming products in our second drop.
